OUR SPEAKERS
We welcome Associate Professor Grace Karskens as our keynote speaker to talk about the complex family relationships that defined Castlereagh from the early years.
Craig Bratby will be looking at the family connections that tied bushranger John Vane to Castlereagh.
Graham Wilcox has recently published a book on Queensland politician Sir Arthur Rutledge and will talk about his early life as a farmer’s son in Castlereagh.
Librarian and researcher Ann-Maree Bonner will explain the value of the local records held in the Research Room for local and family history research.
We will also be acknowledging the soldiers who ‘made the supreme sacrifice’ in 1916.
